ISRAEL
Artist, Tattooer, Black & Gray Realism, Japanese Traditional
About
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Israel (@israelg_tattoo) has spent his life proving there’s always more beneath the surface.
Drawing inspiration from his Chicano roots, he specializes in Chicano black and gray realism, Japanese traditional, lettering, portraiture, realism, and trash polka—approaching every piece with equal parts technical precision and artistic intention.
Israel is also open to collaboration and giveaways for philanthropic endeavors to small businesses and people once a year.
For Israel, tattooing is about purpose. “I do it for the passion,” he says, and that passion extends far beyond the ink itself. He believes great tattoos begin with genuine connection because, as he puts it, “Relationships got to get fed.” Constantly sketching, studying, and pushing himself to evolve, he views artistic growth as a lifelong pursuit.
Away from the tattoo machine, you’ll find him working out, hiking, cooking, drawing, or embracing his favorite role: being a dad. Proud to represent his Chicano culture, Israel hopes people recognize that artists from South Central—and Los Angeles as a whole—carry stories, depth, and perspective that reach far beyond stereotypes. Every tattoo he creates is an opportunity to honor those stories while helping clients tell their own.
